One of the best things about old towns are their many alleyways and Hoi An in Vietnam is no exception. In addition to being mysterious and inviting, they often provide a glimpse into everyday life. Many of the chores of daily life kept hidden are on display around back including the cooking, laundry, farm animals, and kids playing away from the traffic of the streets.
