Plastic Christmas tree shopping at Jusco, the immaculate Japanese (the Swiss of Asia!) supermarket in Qingdao, a dearth of candy canes or figgy pudding, but finding Christmas stockings in the local hutong were all part of our first Christmas in Asia.
