Part of living in China is of course to experience life as the Chinese people do. That said, the adventure falls short often in the food and drink category, mainly due to the dismal record Chinese factories have in food safety and their mistreatment of animals. That is why I have discovered many of the best places to find milk and dairy from Australia and France and olive oil from Italy and juices produced in Japan. Those countries provide a much better record for high quality control and standards in food production and it more than worth the premium on prices to me.
