Ha Long Bay: UNESCO World Heritage Site. Alex and I spent the night on on of the smaller boats that toured around Ha Long Bay and visited several of the islands and caves and climbed to the top of nearby peak to get a better look at the whole bay from above. Later, we went kayaking just before sunset and watched the bay turn from day to night with dozens of other boats bobbing in the calm sea. We befriended a couple college girls, one from Sweden and her friend from Columbia by way of Texas, who were on a quick get-away from their Semester-at-Sea program
