With the exception of the Philippines, Vietnam has more Christians than any other Asian country. That is apparent in the number of sizable churches in the major cities with smaller churches in the more rural areas.
The Catholic church in Hoi An seems mild-mannered in the daytime with its traditional trappings and familiar architecture. It makes up for its lack of size at night as it takes on a karaoke bar meets Vegas look with garish neon lights trimming the entire church including the cross up top.
