Not far from the captured US tanks and planes from the American War, as it is known here, is a giant statue of Vladimir Lenin and a beautiful park. Across the street there were these giant posters that reminded me of the 20th century propaganda posters urging people in China and Vietnam to keep up the fight-whatever fight needed to be kept up. This modern sign, however, may be as simple enough as wishing everyone good luck in the new year.
