The world is finally onto the obscene conditions of the environment here. The government is having a tough time hiding days like yesterday in Qingdao along with 20 major cities exceeding the 500 ceiling again.
The air here was thick with yellow Gobi Desert sand and swirling black coal dust. The view is looking out the kitchen window in the late afternoon, making the day a couple hours shorter for lack of sun. Today, the muck has been flushed out magically and the pollution rate back down to 60 with sunny skies.
