All the departments stores have tea sections larger than the sporting goods and shoe departments combined. There are acres of tall glass bins, special tins, boxes and dozens of glass, ceramic and clay pots for brewing or drinking.
If you show any interest at all, you will be invited by a lady to sit down for a proper tea ceremony that includes full demonstration, baby apples to munch on, and endless refills no matter how much you wave off the offer. We tried the Pu’er tea which can be pricey and is sold in cakes instead of leaves and is supposed to be slurped in order to release all the flavor as you drink.
