The real magnet in Hoi An is the river. No matter where you start, everyone ends up somewhere along the river to take a boat ride, cross the few bridges to the other side with its tiny shops and restaurants, or to take in life along the pea-green water. Dozens of fishing boats tie up here and provide the region with plenty of fresh seafood and a long tradition of fishing.
