The most famous hotel, besides the Ha noi Hilton, circa 1960 and 70’s, is the Metropole-A French style turn-of-the-century beauty right in the middle of the fashionable neighborhoods of the city and near the Communist Party HQ. Outside of the main entrance sits two beautiful 1950’s era navy blue French Citrons cabriolets, evoking the last few years of French occupation and the rising tension of the coming civil war with the south.
